Goodbye Singapore.  Today we flew back home.  However before we departed, we celebrated the end of our adventure with a Sushi lunch and then spent a few hours at the Jewel.  This is the famous indoor waterfall at Singapore airport.  It really is spectacular!

As a special treat for the girls, they also got to go on a canopy walk and on bouncy nets above the indoor waterfall.  We had an alterior motive, trying to get the girls to use up their energy before our long flight(s) back.

Time flew by, and before we really knew it, we were on board our first flight to Hong Kong.  This 4 hr flight was then followed by an 13hr flight to London.  The plan worked, as the girl were asleep even before dinner was served.

After a restless night, we landed in London.  Short queue at immigration, then picked up our bags and headed to the tube.  We tried out the new Elizabeth line to Paddington and only after a short wait boarded our train to Swansea.  Following disembarkation was a short taxi ride… and… we finally arrived home!

This adventure has seen us walk on average 9.6km a day, covering a total of 655km!  This is roughly the same as walking from Southampton to Edinburgh.

We will resume our travels in a few week's time when we head up to Scotland to do the North Coast 500 route.  However we will not be writing every day, as the pace will be a lot slower and our time will focused on home school, family togetherness, the doggies and on enjoying the countryside.
