We all had an early wake up as the kids were up early, and with so many kids about, it’s hard to sleep in... Some adults got less sleep than others. Luckily coffee/tea and a big breakfast helped us all to get going.
It did not take long for the kids to jump into the pool for another pool session. The girls had a blast playing with their new friends. There was lots of running around, and playing various games.
The moms took all the kids on a game drive. Everyone was super excited, and it got even more exciting when they spotted some of the game. This included seeing some giraffes, kudu, warthog, zebras, wildebeest, vervet monkeys and many many impala. While the kids had an exciting time, it was great for Robyn to just catch up with an old friend.
After work, Ronel’s husband Thinus joined us too, which was awesome. Mish was volunteered to make pizza for dinner tonight, and soon encountered some obstacles, like a very small oven, load shedding and no kitchen scales. Luckily he managed to overcome all these challenges, which resulted him baking the pizzas in a gas Braai (BBQ). They really came out really really well, with crispy bases. This is probably going to be the way to make all pizzas in the future!
To end the night we got a fire going and treated the kids to marshmallows over the fire. Nothing is better than feeding 6 kids sugar just before bedtime…
