Today is a chill day in Nature’s Valley, starting with a late morning followed by a bit of schooling before exploring Nature’s Valley.

We first walked through the village a bit, through Phyl Martin Park to Robyn’s grandfather’s old house.  It was lovely hearing all the wonderful stories and memories that Robyn has here from her childhood.  Still strange for her to see how some things have remained exactly the same while some have changed over time. The old log cabin house is no longer, and has been bulldozed in favour of a swanky modern grey and white posh holiday home. The plot has lost most of its garden and all of its charm.

Eventually we got to the Lagoon and the beach.  We just had fun walking along the beach, playing in the sand and waves.

At some point we returned home for lunch and the last bit of home schooling before going back to beach.  Mish even organised a beer and cider for the parents while the kids built a Roman sand fort (based on Vindolanda).

Once it got dark we headed home and made a yummy dinner. This was followed a few games of Cluedo and Scrabble, and then off to bed!
