We departed Vietnam today by speedboat, early in the morning. It was a peaceful ride up the river to Phnom Penh, stopping only at the Vietnamese and then Cambodian border posts. Luckily it was well organised and we were quickly on our way. We even got our schooling done on the boat.
After disembarking from the boat in Phnom Penh, we found our way to the hotel and checked in. As it was so hot(36C and very humid) we all jumped into the pool to cool down.
Once the temperature dropped, we headed out to explore the city and find some dinner. We checked out the local markets, found the clubbing streets with some very interestingly dressed ladies…
We ended our walk with cocktails at a rooftop bar, overlooking the Mekong river. It was a lovely way to say hello to Cambodia!
And as a treat we had one last swimming before the girls went to bed.
